The Vagsoy jumper by DALE OF NORWAY for women is heavily inspired by the iconic Cortina jumper from 1956.
This reinterpretation offers the look of a knitted jumper with raglan sleeves. The Vagsoy Sweater by DALE OF NORWAY for women is made from 100% lightweight wool, has slightly wide sleeves and a round neckline that is lined with skin-soft merino wool for added comfort.
A revolutionary new wool treatment with natural, non-toxic salts makes the Vagsoy Sweater by DALE OF NORWAY for women soft and machine washable.
The pattern is taken from our original 1956 Cortina jumper - the very first jumper made for the 1956 Winter Olympics in Cortina d'Ampezzo. The Cortina pattern embodies the essence of Norwegian tradition and has become one of Norway's most popular patterns.
Vagsoy is an island on the outer coast of Nordfjord, one of the fjords on Norway's west coast. The town of Maloy, one of Norway's most important fishing ports, is located on the island.
