• Gore-Tex®: Shoes equipped with a Gore-Tex® membrane are reliably waterproof, windproof and breathable.
• X-Lacing®: An optimal fit of the tongue, without slipping and pressure points: With the X-Lacing® technology, this is easily possible. The special lacing fixes the tongue both vertically and horizontally. The lacing is thereby independent of the individual height of the instep and thus ideally suited for every foot. Through this lacing technology, the pressure of the straps is no longer only transferred to the hooks, but flat to the tongue
• C4-Tongue: With this special construction of the shoe tongue, the wearing comfort is noticeably increased. For example, the tongue is padded thicker on the outside of the foot and has a soft finish at the top. This asymmetrical padding provides optimal support in different areas of the foot. Furthermore, the cutouts for the ankle areas are higher on the inside than on the outside. In addition, a flexible flex insert is integrated on the inside of the foot to accommodate the anatomy of the feet
• Roller Eyelets: So that the lace runs flexibly and smoothly through the eyelets, small balls in the metal loops minimize friction
• Flexfit Syncro®: Flexfit Syncro® technology is an asymmetrical upper construction that allows the upper of the shoe to move "in sync" with the lower leg. This noticeably improves walking comfort - especially on trails and paths or on rough terrain. The technology takes into account the fact that the foot strike does not happen centrally below the hip joint, but a little further in the middle
• I-Lock: Simply tighten and fix: To simplify lacing, LOWA has developed a special clamping hook. This allows lacing in two zones. After the lacing has been tightened in the lower area of the shoe, the lace can be blocked via this clamping hook. By simply pushing the hook upwards, the clamp is released and the instep lacing can be loosened.
• LOWA Flex®: So that each individual eyelet is flexible, the lacing parts to which they are attached are attached individually. These are made of soft border leather or textile materials to avoid pressure points. Due to the flexible arrangement of the eyelets, individual adjustment of the lacing is easily possible without generating too much pressure at individual points. Nevertheless, the tongue is optimally enclosed
• 2 Zone Lacing: Due to the two-zone lacing, the forefoot and shaft have separately adjustable lacing zones. Thus, the shoe can be individually adapted to the anatomy of the foot
• Flexfit®: If the shaft of a hiking shoe can be bent slightly, the foot can roll better. This saves power, especially when walking uphill, and provides noticeable comfort. Therefore, LOWA has incorporated a flexible zone and a so-called "Lace Loop" in the area of the foot flexion. This refers to the displacement of the eyelet and the use of a flexible deep draw hook, which improves the heel fit and facilitates flexion
• Semi-Auto Crampon: "Semi-Automatic Crampons" are crampons for mountaineering and approach boots that have a rear but not a front sole edge
• Close to the Ground: Those who travel in alpine terrain face numerous challenges. Scree fields, rocky outcrops and impassable terrain place the highest demands on footwear. For a good feel for the ground, LOWA has therefore developed this technology. Here, the sole is designed so that the distance to the ground is as small as possible. This construction height minimization over the entire shoe promotes a natural feel for demanding tours and provides a more stable footing on uneven terrain
• Stiff: Shoes marked "Stiff" have a high flexural stiffness. This means that the sole of the shoe remains resistant to bending even under load
• Climbing Zone: The flat construction of the front part of the sole allows for easy climbs
• Resoleable: This shoes are designed in a way during the development phase that they can be resoled. The upper of the shoe is retained, and a new sole is added to it. This process will extend the shoe’s service life and make a strong contribution to sustainability
• Vibram® Scalatore Evo outsole: This performance sole was designed for high alpine summit strikers. The sole profile including rubber compound, the sole contact area and the "Climbing Zone" at the toe of the sole allow for precise stepping and a good grip
