The Expedition Merino 235 Balaclava is a light and comfortable balaclava by DEVOLD for snowsports, hiking and training.
DEVOLD Expedition is a underwear garment designed with dual layers for extreme weather conditions. Proven on several polar expeditions. The inner layer is made of 100 % Merino wool, while the outer layer is 90 % Aquaduct treated Merino wool, combined with 10 % polyamide to improve durability. DEVOLD Expedition Merino 235 Balaclava insulates extremely well and has a unique ability to transport moisture. The Aquaduct Merino wool is specifically designed to move moisture away from the skin side of the fabric to the outer surface where it evaporates.
For a headover to function optimally it is important that it’s made of a material that doesn’t retain moisture, but rather transports it away from your body and keep you dry. All DEVOLD headovers are either knitted or crocheted/hackled of wool, and therefore holds all the properties of wool. They transport moisture away from your head and to the outside where the moisture evaporates. Even when the Expedition Merino 235 Balaclava is wet it feels dry and comfortable, it breathes and keeps you warm.
