In 1973 a shoemaker from New England brought a yellow boot called "Timberland" to the market. The Yellow Boot sold so well that the company was quickly renamed "The Timberland Company". The waterproof and extremely robust boot was actually made for hard-working craftsmen and construction workers of the North East of the USA, but soon started to conquer the fashion and sports world in the beginning of the 1980s to become an integral part of pop culture and the music industry. Today Timberland is all about the outdoor lifestyle – from dirty wooden trails, rocky hiking treks to bright big city streets. In addition to high-quality boots and shoes, the Timberland product portfolio now also includes premium clothing and accessories for everyday life and, of course, the outdoor area. As a worldwide outdoor lifestyle brand, social commitment and environmental protection is a central component of Timberland's corporate culture. Part of the company philosophy is to make products extremely durable for a long life. Timberland stands therefore not just for outdoor-lifestyle and a close relationship to nature, but also for quality and style.

Timberland Boots - fashionable outdoor shoes for every day

Timberland is probably well known for producing useful and fashionable outdoor shoes. The high level of awareness of the American footwear brand stems from the fact that the outdoor and leisure shoes, Timberland boots or boat shoes that have been produced meet the taste of many people. They are also excellently processed and offer a high level of wearing comfort. To this day, the company still takes its own motto "Make it better" seriously. The company's credo also extends to the employees who work in one of the 100 "best companies to work for".

The history of Timberland shoes begins in 1952 and 1955 with the purchase of a shoe factory in Massachusetts, USA, initially on a pro-rata basis, three years later. Shoemaker Nathan Swartz not only changed the name of the former "Abington Shoe Company"in 1973, but also created a new concept. Instead of continuing to work as a subcontractor for other shoe manufacturers, he developed his own profile for his company. The first waterproof shoes under the new company name became such bestsellers that the "Timberland Company" had to relocate its headquarters to Stratham in New Hampshire in order to expand. As early as the 1980s, Timberland was able to expand and compete at world level.

Timberland - From contract manufacturer to lifestyle company

Timberland's path to becoming a lifestyle company with a broad range of clothing and footwear was rather rapid. Although the Timberland range has long since been extended to include clothing, Timberland shoes are still the core brand of Timberland. The essential criterion of all Timberland boots is their suitability for everyday use. This is proven by the fact that almost every shoemaker has a Timberland boot on the shelf at some point, from construction worker to rapper, from girlie to office clerk. Until 2011, the company was still managed by descendants of its founder. The brand was then sold to a group of companies. The brand essence and popularity of Timberland shoes remained untouched by the sale.

Typical for Timberland shoes are their robustness and the slightly rustic appearance with a profiled sole. Since Timberland shoes, which are available in a collection for men and women as well as Timberland children's shoes, only use high-quality materials, all Timberland boots stand out clearly from similar-looking cheap shoes in their durability and durability. Timberland boots shape stylistic developments in shoe fashion. However, the company also picks up on fashion trends itself and documents them with its own values. In everyday life, this means that other manufacturers may also issue similar-looking shoe models. However, they usually cannot compete with the proven quality of the Timberland brand. A cheap copy is rarely as good as the slightly more expensive original. And if you want to save money, take a look at the Timberland Outlet at eXXpozed. Here you will find timeless, high-quality Timberland women's boots, Timberland men's boots and Timberland children's shoes from the previous collection at bargain prices without sacrificing quality. Timberland shoes are always reliable and comfortable to wear. The Timberland brand has therefore been popular with campers, hikers, sailors and walkers of both sexes for many years.

Reliability is trumps off-road with Timberland Boots

The "Premium Waterproof Boot", which was first produced in 1973 and is still manufactured today, makes a statement about the quality at Timberland. This does not need to be verified by any further proof of the company's commitment to quality. Timberland shoes are not expected to have problems with fit. The high reliability of these brand shoes is reflected in all models. The waterproof Timberland top seller of 1973 is still one of the best selling outdoor shoes today. The Timberland men's, women's and children's shoes convince with

  • fashionable design
  • rubberized soles
  • solid material quality
  • Multipurpose in model selection
  • known classic models
  • robustness and longevity
  • and an ergonomic fit.

Appropriate appearance is only half the success story of shoes. In Timberland men's shoes, as in some women's models, a certain timelessness in design is also taken into account. The US company has not always felt obliged to follow every fashion trend. Campers and trekking fans demand different qualities. In addition to a well-thought-out shoemaker's tradition, Timberland relies on a high recognition value, a reliable quality standard and a classic design language. Factors such as good fit and high wearing comfort are added to this. Someone could wear Timberland shoes all day long on the road without putting his feet under unacceptable strain. On the contrary: The high material quality ensures a healthy climate in the shoe. The hard-wearing Vibram sole constructions on many Timberland shoes provide a pleasant walking experience. The soles secure the grip on different surfaces and in any terrain.

The intended use justifies the means used

Where it makes sense, Gore Tex membranes are installed at Timberland. Synthetic fabrics are also used and combined with genuine leather. The core element of all Timberland shoe models is that they are permanently waterproof thanks to the in-house injection moulding process. Sole and upper leather are not held together by a seam, but are firmly welded together under pressure. The wide range of outdoor and leisure applications has made Timberland one of the most popular shoe brands in Europe and the USA. Where necessary, flex grooves in the soles of sports-capable Timberland boots provide improved cushioning properties.
