Sorel

Sorel

The Canadian company Sorel is world famous for its well-crafted and comfortable boots. A.R. Kaufman began in 1907 to manufacture boots, but the company Sorel was officially founded only in 1962. From 1962 to 2000, Sorel produced its large range of boots in Kitchener, Ontario. Then the company had been acquired by Columbia Sportswear who moved the production to China. Sorel boots are still in great demand and are even more popular as the price has become affordable since the takeover. However, it didn’t affect the quality of Sorel boots in any way.

The Sorel success story

The shoe manufacturer Sorel was founded in 1962 in Canada. Since then, the Sorel boots have been known for their special craftsmanship. In 2000, Sorel was eventually acquired by Columbia Sportswear, awell-known manufacturer of high-qualityoutdoor clothing. The main product of Sorel is the boot, even if the range had now expanded to fashionable shoes, elegant evening pumps an very comfortable slippers.

What makes a Sorel boot

Sorel is not only known for its great sustainable and environmental conscious production methods, butalso for its high quality. The Sorel boots are so durable that they brave the cold and wet weather in the dark winter months, but still look great. The comfortable fit and the strong performance contribute to long-living boots. The secret or the special feature of Sorel winter and outdoor boots lies in the technical rubber sole offering enough flexibility even in very cold weather, but yet high durability, impact resistance and the necessary thermal insulation to the customer. Actually all what oneexpects from  good winter boots.

Where the Sorel footwear feels good

The winter boots and outdoor footwear of Sorel can be found both in the hectic urban jungle and on rough paths in the wild nature. Sorel is as popular with fashion conscious people as among nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. No wonder that the Sorel footwear is not only represented in various outdoor magazines but also in fashion magazines. Even at home, the ultra-comfortable Sorel slippers make your own ground safer.

Sorel stands for quality, performance and style

The Canadian shoe specialist for outdoor and winter boots knows exactly what is essential for durable and winterproof footwear in the freezing cold: water resistance, thermal insulation, durability and sturdiness. Nonetheless, Sorel places great emphasis on a clean design and casual style. The sustainability plays an important role in the shoe manufacturer as well. Sorel attaches great importance to ethical and sustainable manufacturing practices. An eco-friendly, ethical production without child labor is not questionable.
