The history of Didriksons begins in 1913. At that time, Julius and Hanna Didriksons started producing oilskins for fishermen in Sweden. And the company has remained true to the concept of developing clothing that keeps you warm and dry in any weather to this day. Didriksons is known for its sturdy parkas and anoraks in timeless design. These are garments that are made for every day and every weather - waterproof, durable and with lots of clever details. Your ideal companion when the weather gets uncomfortable.

Didriksons 1913 is one of the top brands in the eXXpozed Shop when it comes to stylish and high-quality winter clothing or functional winter sportswear. Here, once again, there is evidence that something truly great can emerge from small beginnings. In 1913, Hanna and Julius Didrikson from the Swedish fishing village of Grundund set out to enter the fashion industry with their own sewn oil coats for local fishermen. The bad weather in the region with high cold temperatures and frequent snowfall proved to be an ideal test environment for the development of functional mode. Today, when someone buys a Didriksons winter coat or winter jacket suitable for everyday use, they benefit from these beginnings. Minimalist design, fashionable timelessness, high degree of weather resistance, excellent fit and unique wearing comfort combine the outstanding features of the Didriksons range.

Didriksons: The fashionable adaptation of lifestyle to raging elements

No one can change the prevailing weather conditions. Part of the company philosophy at Didriksons is that people can only adapt to the daily weather conditions. This means that, precisely because of the increasingly noticeable impact of climate change, it is a challenge that requires needs-based adjustments. With simple oil jackets, even Swedish fishermen would not be able to go far today. Founded in 1913, the family-owned company has made it to the top of the world within a hundred years, and not for nothing. A winter coat from Didriksons impresses with its durability, fashionable timelessness and high functional performance. To this day, the family is still the focus of Didriksons' attention - both in terms of the continuation of the company's tradition and in terms of clothing. Whoever sets up a company in the midst of Sweden's pristine natural landscape automatically pays attention to environmentally friendly production methods, sustainability and resource conservation. Didriksons attaches great importance to the ecological footprint. Environmental awareness is understood as a process that requires constant adaptation. Windproof and waterproof or heat retention are just as important criteria in winter weather conditions as breathability, ventilation and comfort. A Didriksons winter jacket is fashionably an eye-catcher. But instead of following ephemeral fashion dictates, the timelessness of all designs is always in the foreground of Didriksons designs. If you are looking for a winter coat, Didriksons offers you a wide collection that leaves nothing to be desired. Visually, Didriksons jackets are always strikingly simple and stylish. They are therefore appreciated by many groups of buyers. Fighting for one of the top positions in a fiercely competitive world market demands a lot from a small Scandinavian company. Didriksons proves its greatest strength in weatherproof outdoor clothing, with Didriksons Parka in particular being one of the company's trademarks. Quilted and warmly lined winter jackets are just as much to be discovered as waterproof rain jackets, all-rounders with a field jacket look suitable for everyday use or the said indestructible Didriksons Parkas - with or without removable fur collar. A Didrikson's winter coat resists not only high cold temperatures, but also moisture and wind. Its outdoor suitability has been proven over decades. And its additional suitability for the office makes it a favourite coat often worn in urban outdoor areas.

Didriksons 1913 combines functional features and fashionable details

Didrikson's stylishly sophisticated outdoor clothing convinces with its functional properties and lovingly fashionable details. Much of this is taken for granted by buyers today. But it is the qualitative refinements that distinguish an average winter jacket from high-quality outdoor fashion. One of the most obvious differences between Didrikson's winter parka and the winter coats of other manufacturers are the many different styles of Didrikson's ladies' coats as well as the men's parkas and coats. Some winter jackets can also be combined with a matching leg protection in the form of functional trousers. Didrikson's reversible jackets can also be used to respond flexibly to changing weather conditions and moods. The fact that the Swedish manufacturer also designs caps, knitted sweaters, fleece jackets and gloves to prevent heat loss all over the body is just by the way. The multi-layer principle is more valid today than ever before. High demands are placed on the adaptability and ventilation possibilities of high-quality outdoor clothing today. The Swedish manufacturer stands out for the use of certain features:

  • Premium qualities in fabric selection
  • net or taffeta lining
  • reinforcements on stressed parts of the body
  • highly closed and lined casing collars
  • fully bonded seams
  • multiple adjustable and/or removable hoods
  • covered two-way zippers
  • smart pocket solutions
  • or adjustable frets
The inventors of the in-house STORMsystem technology ensure that the moisture in Didriksons winter jackets is kept away from the body. The GALON technology, also developed by Didriksons, was designed to allow the fabrics used to dry faster. Whether it's snowing or raining, the people in Didriksons-Parkas don't care. Children's winter clothes have also been thought of: The youngsters romp about in their weatherproof Didrikson's winter jacket in all weathers without freezing. Since the winter coat of the parents is also designed for easy movement, the fun for the next snowball fight is guaranteed. The winter fashion of the family business allows skiers, luge fans and winter hikers alike to enjoy nature to the full.

Fabric qualities and special features of Didrikson's outdoor clothing

The Swedish manufacturer uses cotton, hard-wearing polyamide weave and polyester fabrics, airy mesh fabrics, climate compensating membranes and sewn-in thermal lining made of taffeta fabric. Where a DWR finish is available, this is PFC-free. Didrikson's winter jackets for children who like to toboggan or ski and snowboard in the snow have an integrated snow trap. Special features on winterproof Didrikson's children's jackets and coats can also be included:

  • built-in size extension systems
  • .
  • glove safety loops at the ends of the sleeves
  • elastic cuffs with thumbhole
  • reflector stripes at a prominent spot
  • and warming EVODown insulation or Teddy lining
It should be noted that the wind and waterproofness of each Didriksons 1913 model is determined individually and varies in height. The water column and the degree of breathability are indicated in the respective product description. In the insulation layers to be drawn underneath, fabric mapping and close-to-body cuts are taken into account. In any case, one thing is certain: in our Didriksons winter coats and jackets everyone can feel completely safe.
